CABIN RE-DESIGN
This is an exclusive remodeling job that is as much conceptual as it is physical. Look closely at the original design and you will see only one opening (window.) Look at the new design and despite the misleading appearance there is still only one opening (window.) In Malcolm Gladwell's Book The Tipping Point it explains how the New York City crime rate dropped drastically after an initiative to clean up graffiti and fix broken windows. This simple change to the visual landscape made a change to the attitude and culture of the people living there. Using this same logic the artist created a fake door and porch that has been used for package delivery, as a place for neighbors to gather and for the lazy dog to relax. This design certainly adds value in the form of conceptual art.
